I was born in Birmingham, AL on March 23, 1989. At Age 4 I moved to Atlanta, GA until age 11 when I moved back to Birmingham. I finished high school at Minor High in Adamsville, AL and moved on the continue my education at the University of Montevallo. I am currently a student-athlete pursuing a degree in Business Management. I am not currently sure what I plan to do with my life but I will hopefully have figured it out byt the time I graduate.

I have played basketball since the 2nd grade and I have always had a love for the game. I have also played the clarinet and saxophone since 6th grade. I performed in bands up until high school when basketball became my main priority. I played tennis and soccer for 2 years also.

My Family

My parents are Anthony Young and Karen Sturgeon. I couldn't do a thing without both of them in my life. I have a very supportive grandmother who I call "Lady". I have 3 older sisters (Tiana, Tenisha, and Areatha) and a younger brother (Anthony). I have 2 nieces (Kennade and Amani) and a nephew (Cameron). I have a very loving and supportive aunt JoAnn who I call "Aunt Duck" and several cousin that I love very much.

I know I would not be where I am without my family so it is important to me that they are on my page.

The both play college basketball. I love them because they keep me focused on my goals and they have both helped me through the hard times. We will remain friends until the end.

I consider everyone of my teammates from this year my friend, and I love them all.
