About Us
The Inspirational Voices of Christ Gospel Choir (IVOC)
was founded as a student-led, gospel choir on the campus
of the University of Montevallo. Over three decades of dedicated
service has established IVOC as one of the largest student groups
among minority students. The focus of
this group is to glorify God
through the gift of singing, provide its members an outlet to connect
with fellow Christians, and minister to the practical and spiritual
needs of those that attend their performances. Students with a sincere
desire to participate in this organization are encouraged to attend
the weekly meetings and commit to upholding the integrity of the ministry.
Each semester the choir works toward their ultimate goal for that semester, which is the concert.
For the past years, it has been one that many students of the campus look forward to. This is true especially
since the concert takes place around the time of finals. It provides inspiration and encouragement for all
those who attend. This student-lead organization has been very instrumental in the lives of not only all those
who come to hear, but also all those who sing.
