I started off my soccer career when I was very young. I was living in Panama City, FL, with my family so I was around the age of six or seven when I began. I played two years of recreational league soccer there, and one more once we had moved to Birmingham.
My first year of competitive soccer began when I was in the third grade. It was for the American Soccer Club Bullets. I played with one other team, the Vipers the next two years, until I began to play at another club: Hoover Soccer Club. I played there for the next three years, until I switched clubs again to play at Vestavia Hills Soccer Club, where we won the state cup all three years. My senior year of high school, I played for my final club team, Valley Futbol Club.
During my four years of high school, I also played for high school, Oak Mountain, during the spring season. My first year on varsity, I was a sophomore, and was the back-up goalkeeper. We ended the season with a 26-0-2 record, while winning the state title, and being ranked number one in a poll. The next year I became the starting goalie, and helped lead my team to a 19-5-1 record, and winning the area and making it to the second round of the playoffs. My senior year, I was once again the starting goalkeeper, but this time for a much more determined group of players. The season was once again a success, with a 20-4-2 record, and another state title.
After graduating high school and going through the same process of recruitment, I made the decision to continue my soccer career at Ohio Northern University, a NCAA Division III school. During the season, I started about half the games, and the team had a decent record but did not make it to the post-season. After the season, I decided to not return to the school or the team; however I still felt the urge to continue playing. After going through a much more condensed recruiting process, I wound up here at the University of Montevallo, a NCAA Division II school. In my first season at UM, I started all but two games, recording a 15-4 record, while the team ended with a 15-6 record and a trip to the NCAA tournament.
