So, You're Interested in Playing a Sport in College... Now What?
Are coaches not knocking on your door?
If they are not, it's ok, you're not alone. In fact, almost all student athletes that go through the recruiting process have the same problem. Unless you are in the top crop of players in the nation, chances are that coaches won't come find you. If you really want to play at the next level, YOU must be the one that reaches out and contacts the schools and their coaches.
So what should I do?
Get your name out. If you never let them know who you are, then you will never get the chance to play. It's that simple. You want yourself to stand out, so be creative: letters, resumes, videos, emails, etc. Also, DON'T limit yourself. Get your name out to as many schools as you can. That way, you will hopefully have more choices, allowing you to really find the right one for you.
