The SEC East was considerably more dominant then the SEC West this past 2008 season. 5 out of the 6 teams became
bowl eligible While only 3 teams becamse eligible in the SEC East. Florida was once again dominant in the entire conference
finishing the season 13-1 with their only loss coming to a team from the SEC East the University of Mississippi in a last second
thriller. Georgia had another solid year winning 10 or more games, and the University of Tennesse suffered a down year finishing
under .500 and their long-standing coach retired after many years of success for the university.
