Is tennis good for you? Absolutely! Tennis is a great form of exercise for beginners and a very thorough workout for advanced players. Physical activity increases energy and helps you stay healthy. Playing one set of tennis would give you 30 minutes of physical activity and not to mention planty of fresh air!

How can i develop my game? One way is an intensive week of tennis, or any break you may have to play at your own leisure. Once you found a court to play on, start playing tennis with friends, family, or other player. Being able to do this you will naturally start to get a feel for the game. The best thing to help start your tennis game out right is your hand-eye coordination. One gret way is to throw the ball up and catch it, or either against a wall.

The full court always seems too big at first, so what is always recommended is a scaled down version called mini tennis. Mini tennis starts you out in the four service boxes of the court. All level of players start out with this, it's good for warming up, hand eye coordination, and getting a better feel for the ball. As you start to become more confident you will start to use tatics. Hitting the ball that comes near you is easier than hitting the ball on the run; therefore you'll soon realize that the objective is making your opponent run to hit the ball. You will be better placed to hit each ball if you maintain a good position, and you will soon begin to understand the importance of good positioning.

Once you have mastered these basic principles, try and play to the weakness of your opponent. This might be the forehand, backhand, volley, or overhead. Also, remember to use your strengths as much as possible. Exploiting your opponent's weakness will help you tremendously in controlling the game. You might enjoy serving, have a strong cross court forehand, love to come into the net and volley: try to do more of what you enjoy, and keep at it! The world's best players spend hours mastering their game. Success does not come easy, so work at your game and never become downhearted if you do not play your best. Everything comes with hard work and time.
